Mom Is Always Right
When I was young my mom grew marijuana
It grew tall as trees in California sun
I always thought the cops would come and take her
I never wanted to be like my mom
But now that I am grown, I see it different
But Mom’s not here to see how right she was
I know now it should always have been legal
And not only for outlaws, like Mom.
So roll it up, take a toke
Eat those delicious edibles
Hold it steady man and I’ll get you a light
From a vape or from a bong
You know you really can’t go wrong
And don’t forget that Mom is always right
Then one day the CAMP planes came a buzzin’
(Or at least the cocaine said they were)
The harvest that year didn’t fair to well I fear
She chopped it down before fully mature
Mom enlisted help from all our friends and neighbors
To try and get the plants to somewhere safe
They rolled them up in tarps and they strapped them to their cars
And that was San Francisco’s very first weed parade.
